The 2010 Land Rover Freelander 2 - Off Road
We had the Land Rover Freelander 2 for a week recently and found it – as we do with all current Land Rover products – to be even better than you’d have thought. But what was quite surprising is how well the Freelander 2 manages the rough stuff. It’s true we didn’t go absolutely berserk with the off-roading, but we did far more than soft-roading at a boot sale.
With its successor set to bow at the Detroit Auto Show in a couple of months' time, word's come down from BMW that 2013 will indeed be the end of the line for the BMW 1 Series — at least in the US. It will remain available elsewhere in the world as a three-door and five-door hatch. The coupe and convertible, meanwhile, are being replaced by the 2 Series, in convention with BMW's new naming scheme.
Nissan has designed, engineered and will build its new Note mini-MPV in the UK. The second-gen Note packs better safety and driver assistance tech into an altogether more fashionable body than its cute but uninpsiring predecessor.
